Główną ideą projektu było odpowiednie wpisanie się w zastaną sytuację urbanistyczną oraz dopasowanie budynku do funkcji, jaką ma pełnić. Kształt obiektu wynika z wykreślenia na mapie sytuacyjno-wysokościowej osi urbanistycznych będących przedłużeniem najbliższych działce kierunków, uwzględniając budynki w ramach „Zadania 1 – Pawilon w mieście: klubokawiarnia” oraz „Zadania 2 – Budynek w narożniku: dom sztuki”. W wyniku tak przeprowadzonej analizy powstał rzut o kształcie lekko wyprostowanej litery ‘S’, wpisującym się w zastany kontekst urbanistyczny. W trzecim wymiarze obiekt zyskał prostą bryłę, urozmaiconą jednak podłużnymi drewnianymi elementami w postaci słupków, pełniących jednocześnie funkcję łamaczy światła, tzw. brise soleil. Zapobiega to prostopadłemu padaniu promieni słonecznych na szyby i nagrzewaniu pomieszczeń. W południowo-wschodnim narożniku budynku słupy te stają się ramą dla ogródka kawiarnianego, łącząc wnętrze obiektu z jego zewnętrzem. Od strony ul. Limanowskiego „odrywają” się od budynku, by utworzyć ciągłą pierzeję ulicy oraz zachęcić przechodniów do wejścia do wnętrza. Odsłaniają tym samym reprezentacyjną klatkę schodową, pełniącą jednocześnie funkcję komunikacyjną oraz rekreacyjną.

The main idea of the project was to appropriately fit into the existing situation and the adaptation of the building to the function it is to perform. Shape of the object results from plotting the axis on the site-altitude map planning, which are an extension of the directions closest to the plot, taking into account the buildings under "Task 1 - Pavilion in the city: clubhouse" and "Tasks 2 - Building in the corner: art house". As a result the analysis carried out in this way resulted in a projection in the shape of a slightly straightened letter 'S', fitting into the existing urban context. In the third dimension The building gained a simple body, but diversified with oblong wooden ones elements in the form of posts, which at the same time act as breakers light, so-called brise soleil. This prevents the rays from falling perpendicularly on the windows and heating the rooms. In the south-east in the corner of the building, these poles become a frame for the cafe garden, connecting the interior of the object with its exterior. From the side of ul. Limanowski "detach" away from the building to create a continuous street frontage and encourage passers-by to enter the interior. Thus, they reveal a representative cage staircase, serving both a communication and recreational function.
